Stage Three: Critique an editorial or commentary from a national newspaper #2

March 7th, 2017, the Washington Post published an article titled “The TrumpWhite House is totally changing its tune on wiretapping and hoping you don’tnotice” In this article the author Chris Cillizza states President Trump declared via twitter that Obama had tapped his wires but Cillizza gets to the conclusions where Trump is making false statements so the congress can investigate the issue. Although Trumps wants the congress to investigate what  he had already stated his wires are tapped why would he want the congress to investigate? What Cillizza thinks is the best reason is that President Trump do not have the evidence to prove such claim but instead he just wants to make sure his wires are not being tapped.
This article is directed to all American citizens because it is about the President and his insecurities. Cillizza began his career at The Cook Political Report and, later, Roll Call prior to joining The Washington Post. For the Cook Report he covered gubernatorial races and southern House races. He wrote a column on politics for Congress Daily. During his four years at Roll Call, he reported on campaign politics from the presidential to the congressional level, finishing his time at Roll Call as the paper's White House correspondent. His freelance work has appeared in a variety of publications including the Atlantic Monthly, Washingtonian, and Slate. He has also been a guest on CNN, Channel and MSNBC. After multiple guest appearances on the network, he was named an MSNBC Political Analyst.

I do agree with Cillizza because before elections Trump tweeted several times against races, or discriminating, etc. Trump wants the world to know but he barely thinks what is right. In the other side, Trump is doing that because he knows people will agree with him of such claims. I would say Trump is really smart when he wants to get something done.
